Description
Tambour doors are increasingly popular in modern styled kitchens. The components supplied with the tambour doors are made to suit carcases made from 18mm thick board. A standard tambour door simply fits within the carcase and has a fascia piece on the top edge (vertical) or side edges (horizontal). All vertical opening tambours have a patented balanced spring roller mechanism which gives a smooth operation and stops the door safely in any position. This unique roller system has been tested to BS5459 Part 3 – severe rating (50,000 cycles). All tambour door packs include a comprehensive colour installation guide and template. For vertical tambours an internal cabinet depth of 260mm is required. The slats are removable for variable heights (the tape should be peeled back, slats removed and then the tape re-applied). Please note that if too many slats are removed it will affect the performance of the roller system. The width of the tambour system is not adjustable.
